Patrick Gillespie

Patrick brings more than two decades of experience leading IT/OT and cybersecurity programs across both the private sector and public service. He currently serves as OT Practice Director at GuidePoint Security, where he leads the firm's operational technology security practice.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served as an Intelligence Analyst during Operation Enduring Freedom (2007–08) and supported domestic emergency response as part of a Quick Reaction Force during Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
He holds a Master's Degree in CIS-Security from Boston University and maintains certifications including OSCP, CISSP, CCNP, CCNA Security, CCSA, and PenTest+.
A dedicated advocate for the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, Patrick has personally mentored dozens of veterans transitioning into the field — drawing on his own experience to help others find their footing in a competitive industry.
